We are recruiting passionate and conscientious people to join a Children’s Residential Service. Our Client is an established care provider with an outstanding reputation in Lancashire. You will assist in assessing need, planning, implementing and reviewing Care and or Pathway plans of the individual young people we support, who are leaving care and living in the community. Such support is governed by legislation and guided by the principles and policies of the Client.
Duties will include:
(1) You will have a standard of education that enables you to understand written instructions, contribute to person-cantered care and support plans, write reports, maintain records (which are legal documents) and keep basic accounts of expenditure.
(2) The Ofsted National Minimum standards (NMS) require that staff will have or working towards a minimum level 3 Diploma in Children’s and young people’s workforce or be committed to achieving it, and to full participation in our Client’s induction and in-service training programme.
(3) This post requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (i.e., it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated activity under Part 1 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore, a DBS enhanced check for regulated activity (includes a barred list check) is a prerequisite.
(4) Driving License – A full and clean UK driving license is a desirable requirement.
